A List of Questions We Get All the Time

Topics:

We're open to suggestions! Got questions?

  1. What is RSS Hosting? What do I need it for?
  2. What's a Download code? Where do I get one?
  3. How do I share my MP3's?

What is RSS Hosting? What do I need it for?

RSS is how programs like iTunes know where to find your podcast. In order for iTunes to find your podcast and be up to date, your RSS file needs to be hosted on the internet. We take care of all the complicated details so you can just worry about making a great podcast. We’ll also submit your Podcast to iTunes and several other Podcast databases for you.

What's a Download code? Where do I get one?

A Download code is a code you use to get MP3 versions of your recordings. You (or one of your band members) received it at the end of your first recording session. It was probably written on the back of a business card.

If you lost it, or think you didn't recieve one send an or call.

How do I share my MP3's?

Musicians:
1. Type in your download code (what's my download code?) on any page of this website.

  • If you want to share all your songs, just copy and paste the address you see in your browser.
  • If you only want to share a specific song, click on the mp3 file for that song. When it opens in the browser, copy and paste the address you see in the browser. (This can get complicated depending on your specific computer... so if it doesn't work don't worry, just send us an and we'll get you the address of your song plus the HTML code you need to link to it.)
Podcasters:
You can get a special link that will open iTunes and take people directly to your podcast. Just send us an and we'll reply with your link.
